From Anchorage a car tour of the beauties of the Kenai Peninsula and Denali National Park to discover the wild Alaska. Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise and Tundra Wilderness Tour are included.
Itineraries
Day 1 | Anchorage
Upon arriving in Anchorage free transfer to your hotel. Overnight at SpringHill Suites or similar.
Day 2 | Anchorage Car Rental (not included) – Homer
Today we take the Seward Highway towards Seward. We suggest a couple of stopovers along the way to experience the magnificent landscapes. You’ll turn onto Sterling highway to reach Homer, passing thru Kenai and Soldotna Overnight in Homer at Aspen Hotel or similar.
Day 3 | Homer
Today we will board a floatplane for a bear viewing excursion in the Katmai National Park area. Overnight at Aspen Hotel or similar.
Day 4 | Seward
We hit back the Sterling highway and again the Seward highway to reach Seward. Overnight in Seward at Windsong Lodge or similar.
Day 5 | Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise
Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise with Buffet, from 11:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Departing from Seward, this cruise glides pass seals, whales and puffins as we explore coastal rainforests, tidewater glaciers and remote Alaskan islands. Experienced and engaging captains narrate the trip, so you walk away knowing a whole lot more about Kenai Fjords National Park and its wonders. At your return a short trip to Sealife Center will help you remember all the animals you have seen during the cruise and learn more about the local sea fauna. Overnight at Windsong Lodge or similar.
Day 6 | Talkeetna
Today you will drive back to Anchorage continuing onto the George Parks highway to reach the vibrant community of Talkeetna. Overnight at Talkeetna cabins or similar.
Day 7 | Denali
Today a Jet Boat Tour, included in your price, will take you along the Susitna river. As you travel twenty miles of river your naturalist will talk about the history and rivers in the area, as well as information about Denali. You will have opportunities to view nesting bald eagles and beaver activity. Time to go back to the Parks highway to continue your journey to Denali National Park. Overnight at Denali Grizzly Bear or similar.
Day 8 | Denali
Today you will drive into Denali National Park on a bus. Traveling 62 miles into Denali National Park to Stony Hill Overlook, the Tundra Wilderness Tour (TWT) offers a wonderful and diverse experience for park visitors. Incredible scenery, a narrated history of Park Road, and some of the best opportunities to view the park’s wildlife inhabitants await you on this tour. The tour will take approx. 6 hours to be completed. Overnight at Denali Crow’s Nest or similar.
Day 9 | Denali – Anchorage
Before traveling back to Anchorage there is still a bit of time to enjoy your stay. A whitewater raft adventure awaits you. Hang on! It’s whitewater ahead! You’ll get wet and enjoy every minute of it as we head for Healy, 11 miles down river. Get into real whitewater rafting as you hang on through thrilling rapids such as “Cable Car”, “Coffee Grinder”, and “Ice Worm”! Overnight at SpringHill Suites or similar.
Day 10 | Anchorage
Tour concludes in Anchorage.
