Experience the ice age as you fly over Denali National Park and the heart of the Alaska Range. Your trip begins with a short transfer from your Denali hotel to the Healy Airport, located roughly 12 miles north of the Denali Park entrance area.

You will fly across the Outer Range Mountains – ridges home to Dall sheep, wolves, and caribou. Next, you are over the heart of Denali National Park and fly across the near-jagged spine of the central Alaska Range with massive walls of rock and ice.

You will see glacier moraines, mile-long piles of rocky rubble scrubbed from the mountains through which the glaciers pass. Your pilot will land at one of Mt. Denali’s glacier landing areas and step out onto the ice with you. On your return flight take in even more views of Mt. Denali. Plan for about 3.5 hours total for this tour, including transfers, flight time, and 20 to 30 minutes on the glacier.

This tour is provided using a small single-engine bush plane. All guests will have a window seat and interactive headset to communicate with the pilot who will provide narration during the flight.
